Typing with Eight Fingers and a Thumb

Touch typing refers to typing text with the help of a keyboard by using all fingers. It involves typing with eight fingers and a thumb.

In order to touch type properly, the fingers need to be placed on the keys assigned to them. Therefore, every finger is assigned with one or more keys on the keyboard with a specific location.

Keep fingers on the keyboard

Keep your fingers firmly on the keyboard, and feel free to roll your eyes on the screen. Yes! It’s possible. You don’t feel adrift and can smoothly move your fingers along the required locations over the keyboard. Regularly practicing, following typing rules, and systematically acquiring typing skills will eventually store in your muscle memory.
